Durable Infrared Technology

Equipped with Dräger infrared sensors, the X-am 5600 promises high stability and resistance to contamination. These sensors have an extended lifespan of up to eight years, significantly reducing ownership costs due to fewer sensor replacements. Additionally, the need for sensor calibration is minimized, required only once every 12 months, thus lowering maintenance expenses.

Single or Dual Sensor – Accurate Measurement Results

The X-am 5600 features an infrared sensor (IR Ex) for measuring explosive hydrocarbons within the lower explosive limit. The IR CO2 sensor offers precise and safe measurements of carbon dioxide, with a resolution of 0.01 Vol.-%, and alerts for toxic CO2 concentrations. A dual sensor option (Dual IR CO2/Ex) is available for specialized applications requiring both explosive substance and CO2 detection.

Combination with Hydrogen

Recognizing hydrogen as a potential explosive gas, the X-am 5600 combines infrared Ex and electrochemical H2 sensor signals for reliable hydrogen detection. This poison-free technology is particularly suitable for areas traditionally monitored by catalytic Ex sensors.

Various Monitoring Possibilities

The gas detector integrates advanced infrared technology with Dräger’s latest electrochemical XXS miniature sensors. This combination enables the detection of a wide range of gases including O2, Cl2, CO, CO2, H2, H2S, and more. The device is compatible with Dräger CC-Vision software for easy sensor exchange, calibration, and configuration for diverse applications.

Flexible Use

An optional external pump, compatible with hoses up to 30 m (98 ft.), facilitates pre-entry measurements in tanks or pipelines. For area monitoring, the X-am 5600 can be used alongside the Dräger X-zone 5000 air monitor.

Suitable for Ex-Zone 0

This robust and compact gas detector is apt for use in Ex-Zone 0 environments, where explosive atmospheres are always expected.

Area Monitoring

When used with the Dräger X-zone 5000, the X-am 5600 is ideal for various area monitoring applications. Up to 25 X-zone 5000 units can be interconnected wirelessly to secure larger areas like pipelines or industrial tanks efficiently, even during industrial shutdowns.
